One of the most underappreciated things about William & Mary is our access to the Northeast Corridor by train. Taking the train is great for in-state and out of state students to get home or for short trips to Virginia destinations!
W&M students have been riding Amtrak since its inception and taking the train to and from campus for far longer.
Here’s Train Club’s guide for Amtrak in the 21st century.
Booking Tickets
Book early! Ticket prices increase based on how full trains are. And us students all travel on the same day…
The base fare is currently: $23 WBG↔WAS and $45 WBG↔NYP
See https://railforless.us for historical prices.
